For those of you who dont get to see the fabulous Paulownia Tree in flower, here it is. The gigantic purple flowerheads give it the common name of “Foxglove Tree” and you can see why. Another name is “Empress Tree” also a fitting name. Depending on the weather, we should have a few weeks of this display, then giving way to the enormouse leaves for the rest of the season which can give welcome shade (hopefully !)
